Bodysense training and consultation

Jane Fraser is a trainer and consultant on sexuality issues who has developed a range of successful courses for professionals, including advisory teachers, school nurses, residential and day care staff, health educators and speech therapists. These are based on over 30 years’ experience of working with young people in a variety of settings as a qualified social worker, counsellor and sex educator. In particular, her specialist knowledge and experience of communicating with young adults with learning disabilities through the medium of 3 dimensional models is called upon throughout the United Kingdom. She can offer training or consultation in the following areas of work:

Using 3D models to assist in teaching personal and sexual relationships & social skills

Sexuality and young people & adults with disabilities

The impact of abuse on people with disabilities

The impact of bereavement on people with learning disabilities

Costs and terms of service

Courses can be arranged to suit your particular needs for staff training and development. The charge for this service is 400 per day for a training event, and 200 per day for consultation. A discount may be offered where two or more consecutive days are commissioned. In addition, travel and subsistence is charged at standard rates.  In the event of cancellation a sliding percentage of the total fee is charged depending on the length of notice given.

A maximum of 15 course members per trainer (depending on the course content and level) will ensure full participation throughout a programme but this may be relaxed where the agency can provide suitable support and/or participants know each other and work together.
